Purpose and current status

This policy concerns a planned owner-only app for managing organic Pinterest content for the shop operator’s own business through Pinterest’s official API. No functioning integration or account connection has been verified. App features and safeguards below are planned, not implemented controls.

The app’s scope excludes TikTok, Etsy customer/order/payment data, advertising, billing, Secret Pins and Secret Boards.

Information and intended use

With authorization, the app would access only the operator’s account information and own public Pins and Boards needed to manage Boards, publish approved content and view organic account analytics. It would also process operator-supplied media, captions, links and publishing instructions.

Authentication is planned through Pinterest OAuth, without collecting Pinterest passwords or session cookies. Credential protection and handling have not been implemented or verified.

Each specific Pin and scheduled publishing time requires individual operator approval. Board changes also require specific approval. Changes to approved instructions require renewed approval. If approval is withdrawn, the planned app would stop unpublished work where technically possible and report the outcome. Cancellation is not implemented or guaranteed. Automatic deletion of published Pins is excluded from the planned functionality.

Storage and providers

Project materials exist locally, and the operator also uses Google Drive/cloud storage. The exact synchronized files and account/security settings have not been verified. Google may process synchronized files and metadata.

Gmail processes correspondence sent to the privacy-contact address. Cloudflare Pages Free hosts this public policy.

Approved publishing content would be sent to Pinterest and could become public. Additional provider access would require disclosure and explicit operator approval.

No app-specific backup process, security controls, retention schedule or deletion mechanism is claimed implemented or verified.

Pinterest API information

Pinterest’s Developer Guidelines prohibit storing information accessed through Pinterest Materials, including its API, except campaign analytics about one’s own account or an account whose holder expressly authorized access. They direct developers to retrieve information through the API when needed. They also prohibit sharing or selling API information to third parties, while allowing sharing with the account holder, and require API credentials to remain private.

The planned app does not assume that organic analytics qualifies for the campaign-analytics exception. Its intended design is to retrieve API information when needed and prevent prohibited retention or disclosure through caches, logs, backups or cloud synchronization. These protections have not been implemented or verified. Existing cloud-storage use does not establish permission to synchronize API information or credentials. Operator-created materials must remain distinguishable from API-derived information.

Retention and privacy requests

The shop operator personally monitors easy.peasy.lifestyle.family.lovers@gmail.com. Contact this address with privacy questions or requests concerning access, correction or deletion. Please do not email passwords or access tokens.

No formal identity-verification, retention or deletion procedure currently exists for privacy requests. No fixed retention period or automatic deletion practice is claimed. Deletion is not promised in every circumstance.

The planned tool would never automatically delete original media or backups; removal would require separate explicit operator approval. This preference does not authorize indefinite retention of personal information or override applicable requirements.

Changes

Changes are intended to be reflected on the public policy page. This policy must accurately describe actual data handling before planned features are introduced. It does not establish legal compliance or Pinterest approval.
